adolescent therapy

There are two parts of being an adolescent: child vs young adult.  As they develop their own identity and purpose, social engagements with peers becomes important.  There is a slow distancing from adults and the emotional intensity heightens.  I offer a space to explore their conscious mind as they become truly thinking individuals. I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills such as Emotion Regulation, Distress Tolerance and Mindfulness in session.
